I installed warcraft iii and the frozen throne with wine. everything worked fine until now.
i tried to play a few games with my friends after a long time and the game get VERY slow after a few minutes of playing.
the first minutes - absolutely fine. then - hanging, skipping and so on.

could this be temperature related? :) its very hot here in germany these days...

Doubtful, unless you have an Intel cpu where this could indeed be the case. I believe some Intel cpus throttle down when they get too hot.

You should try to detect, whether your CPU throttles or not. As far as I know, in case you are using KDE, you can try to use the System Monitor and select there the CPU frequency sensor. Problem is, that I am not sure if this frequency values is updated when the CPU throttles or if this is simply showing the max. frequency. At least worth a try if no one else has another idea.
