hi all,
I downloaded the install-x86-universal-2004.2.iso image, and burn it into a bootable CD,then I boot my computer with this cd, I followed the suggestion and hit the ENTER,the my monitor display like follow:
loading geeton....
loading geeton.igz....
and after this text, my monitor turn to be blank and display a warning : "out of frequency".
my computer was make up of: P4 2.4G cup, 256m memory, mainboard is asus P4S500-Mx, Sis651 display card , sis 900-based Pci Ethernet card !
Please tell me how to solve this problem!

i think the problem is related to your monitor's hsync and vsync frequencies... but don't know how you can solve that |

I think it must have any ways can solve it, because I have installed redhat8, red hat 9, Fedora2 succeed with the same computer! |

i mean that probably the live cd uses wrong parameters but... really don't know. anyway, you can try with a different version of the live cd... |

Instead of pressing <enter> at the boot: prompt, try this

after user the gentoo-nofb key word, I can successfully start the kernel!
