What is wrong with portage this morning???

Just an average day... emerge sync and then emerge -u world.

Except, I am getting this error WITH EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE I TRY AND UPGRADE:

# emerge -u portage

ORbit... libxml, etc. Nothing will -u, everything gives that error. Been this way for two days, emerge sync this morning and still it persists.

Tried deleting files, forcing portage to download again... always the same message.

Any ideas?

Yes. Search the forums before you post. There are at least two posts about MD5 problems with mirrors.
