Hello,
I am running Rosegarden and want to use qsynth, but with separate instruments for some channels. The problem is, when I change program to qsynth, the same program applies to the other MIDI channels as well. So, I cannot use drums and bass from qsynth at the same time.
So, I figured I start another instance of qsynth, but that was not possible because I immediately get "Failed to create the audio driver (jack). Cannot continue without it." for each subsequent start attempt of qsynth.

There is probably a namespace problem with qtsyths client name.
Does it have an option allowing you to change the jack name? If
not email the developers and ask them. |

Thanks for the tip!
Anyhow, I realized I changed qsynths programs the wrong way in Rosegarden, which caused the problem. Changing them per channel on the track-bar, instead of the leftermost pane which changes the instruments oerall setting, enabled me to run qsynth with one program per channel.
