Do you have an SCSI drive?
Try
fdisk /dev/sda
or if that doesn't work try fdisk --help to get a list of commands. One of them should list your drives and what they are called. |

Ok, i found out i had to use /dev/hdb (dont know how i jsut tried it)
But when i went to do the partitioning it said it was not able to save any of it...
It said something about no DOS partitions or something of the sort.. i dont exactly remember everything.. |

Try using the cfdisk utility, it's easier to understand what is going on. If you still get an error, copy it down so that we can help you solve the problem. |

Not to discourage u but if u just migrated from Windows I don't think Gentoo is the best choice for a Linux-distribution for you...
Perhaps u are better off starting with Red-Hat or Debian, these are a bit simpeler and don't go so deep into ur entire system (hardware/software) like Gentoo does. |
