I just would like to know how can my computer recognize other computer by its name in the network...
I got here 2 gentoo computers. I can see each other only by its ip, not by the name... is there some how i can change it so i can do like ssh computername?
Im asking this because in distcc hosts file, i saw a lot of examples with names, but if i enter a name there it says that "can find host"... |

For a small network, edit /etc/hosts and add the entries there. "man hosts" for more information. |
