I get sound in TFC, but not Natural Selection?

Hi. I'm using Winex 2.2 (Binary)
I downloaded natural selection (a new half-life mod) in the hopes of playing something fresh (i've been following this mod since early march, 2001)
Well, the game installed OK with winex, and the menu and everything is fine. Even the game itself runs at an acceptable speed. But the thing is, I have no sound.

Which is odd, since I get perfect sound in Team Fortress Classic (another half-life mod)

Does anyone know any fixes? Any other application/game that I've tried that needs sound, uses it, so I'm beginning to suspect the mod to be at fault.

Any suggestions? :?:

I installed winex-cvs (2.2.1) and this issue is gone now... but the voice input doesn't work (it works on CS and HL)

voice input from cs is really working for you?

i had the same problem with sound in the first place and i tried some stuff until i found that:

[wineoss]
"UseMMap" = "Y"
"FullDuplex" = "Y"

in "config" will do the trick for me.

Does anybody know, where to get TFC ?? AFAIK it´s included in Half-Life Game of the year edition... But I have only the regular version.... I searched for hours, but the only download link I found was on fileplanet, and that requires a Passwort/Username which must be buyed or you´ll be hold in the line for 2-3 hours and then, you´ll get a 3k download...

well, at least in CS that little icon shows up when you press the voice key... I don't play CS that much so I don't speak that much either

also, elias, if u download the latest HL update, TFC is included

Uhm, I updated it to the latest Version, but the Mod-List is empty...

Irrelevant though, because FilePlanet sucks
