KDETV and Kaffeine

This is a weird problem. kdeTV works perfectly normally. If I run Kaffeine and then run kdetv then it just displayes a black screen - although, tvtime works fine. I have to logout and log back in to get kdetv working again?
Anyone have any ideas?

The problem seems to be caused by xine-lib. I used to experience the same behaviour - i could use kdetv but after using kaffeine for movie playback and turning kdetv back on, there was no picture, after i upgraded my xine-libs.

Try using the following application versions:

media-tv/kdetv-0.8.6
media-libs/xine-lib-1.0-r4
media-video/kaffeine-0.6-r1

and it should work just fine.
