|
|
hi, this is my first message on this forum, i am using gentoo for 2 or 3 months now and the help i found on this forum is great.
but this time i can't find a solution to my problem and i lost a lot of time searching the forums again and again ...
I have a ldap server on my local network, which is working fine .
on my local computer, I installed Mozilla and thunderbird 0.7.3.r1 (and firefox) with ldap enabled.
With mozilla i can add the ldap directory easily, it's working fine.
But with thunderbird the dialog to configure ldap directories is not working ... I fill the fields in the box, click on Ok, and the entry is not added to the directories list, the dialog is the same as in mozilla, so this should work, but it's not ...
it's strange, since I think that mozilla and thunderbird are "dependant" softs ...
Thanks in advance

I tried to add the ldap settings from my mozilla directory (prefs.js) to the Thunderbird one but it had no effect.
ldap directory box seems bugged, even the help button is not working ....
is it the same for you ?

It's ok, i found something !
I installed the contact sidebar for thunderbird (http://jpeters.no-ip.com/extensions/index.php?page=2)
And it "unlocked" the ldap function, I dunno how, i dunno why ... but it did ...
no my ldap support works, but sometimes TB crashes ...
Post if you have the same pb ,i really want to know why the things are now working ... |
