I heard that Konqueror was supposed to have a Google search bar in KDE 3.3, but I can't find it anywhere in the preferences. The only way I can search Google through the UI alone is to type "gg:my search keywords" into the location bar, but that seems a bit cumbersome. Is that really the new Google search bar or is there one more akin to Firefox's Google bar? |

I sometimes have that thing pop up in the file manager... really annoying, and I haven't turned it on or off.. |

And that's why you can set a default search engine in the configuration dialog (under web shortcuts). That's the way it should be. IMHO a google bar is superfluous. |

Man I love that feature, not to mention all the other stuff you can type in there. (ggg, dict, imbd, apps, just to name a few!)
That toolbar just takes up screen space. IMHO of course. |
