im pretty sure this isnt a dup, because ive already tried everything that ive found.
iev disabled preemptive kernel support, and SMP, this is supposed t get my sleep working, but it doesnt.
heres my config:
http://www.sover.net/~ljohnstn/kernel-config-2.6.7
can anyone give me a working kernel config or point me to whats wrong with mine?
i can emerge different veriosns of 2.6.7 (but i dont want to stray outside, unless absolutely necesary, because on dialup, i am working on OOo right now, os cant really spare much bandwidth), i have just gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7, not a release number (i think latest is r14, should i upgrade?)
thanks, killfire _________________ my website, built in HAppS: http://dbpatterson.com

Well, I'm afraid that I've lost my 2.6.7 config files, but if push comes to shove, here are my config files:
http://stuporglue.com/gentoo/
I currently have the pegasos developer kernel installed. 2.6.8.1-pegasos-r2 is what it says in /usr/src.
Sleep works like a charm, X works, and even the bootsplash is working! (yay!)
I'm currently emerging xine, so I don't know for sure that sound or DVDs work, but they did with 2.6.8_r4, so I think they should.
Sorry I don't have the 2.6.7 ones!
