|

Hello,
I have somekind of a strange problem.
When I want to act as root in the control-center or call kdesu, I always get an error.
. Quote: | Das Programm "su" ist nicht auffindbar.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr PATH korrekt eingestellt ist. |
For the non-German:
Su can not be found. Make sure that your PATH is configured correctly
I checked the PATH-variables of root and the normal user, they both include /bin , where su is located.
When I call su as the normal user, it works with no problem.
The problem occurs with kdesu.
Thanks for any help. _________________ Just unused Microsoft-Software is good Microsoft-Software |

im not familiar with kde, but couldnt you just change whatever configs to "/bin/su" instead of "su"?
so then it wouldnt even have the option of a corupt path....
what does kdesu do that su can not?
i assume you could open of a term, su to root, and then start control center like that right?
