Hello,
I'd like to know if Apple's Isight webcam works on x86 PC with Linux. I wanted to buy a webcam, and my choice was Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, which seemed to be an excellent webcam, but since the philips driver support is now compromise, I've looked around to find out a nice and performant webcam. The Isight seems to be, but don't know if it works on non-ppc computers.
Any ideas / suggestions welcome.
Thanks |

Yep, it works. I've got one plugged into my Dell. Works under Windows too. |

Okay, but what driver should be used? Is it in the kernel? Under USB Devices or Video for Linux? Is it a userspace driver? Is there any kernel option to use it?
(I will love my iBook that I'll just plug the 'cam into then see it work! As if it was not possible to add that to Linux by default, out-of-the-box. Yeah, right.) _________________ Whoever is enough of a fanatic to KILL people should be shot on sight. |
