/var/tmp/portage: important?

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if it would be ok for me to delete the contents of /var/tmp/portage or if I should leave it. Thanks in advance.

u can delete the contents, thats just the space portage uses to compile

Ofcourse, rming the contents of /var/tmp/portage wont be such a good idea when you're in the middle of an emerge
