I compile new kernel 2.6.8-r3 but there is no possibility to choose PIV mobility type of procesor.
Only possibility is
386
486
586...686
pentium classic
pentium mmx
pentium pro
is ok that i choose 686

P4-M processors are regular P4s as far as GCC is concerned (the only difference when using them under Linux is optionally enabling the speedstep functionality under CPU Frequency Scaling). They support MMX, SSE/SSE2 just like a P4.

If you are talking the "Processor Family" setting under kernel configuration, you should have a Pentium-M setting there. Under /etc/make.conf your system type is "i686-pc-linux-gnu", and for GCC CFLAGS you have something like "-O2 -march=pentium4 -pipe". It's not very clear where you are selecting this, that's all the places I can think of offhand.

so you think that i686 will be ok. if i choose genkernel i486 is choosen.
