There's a number of path issues causing the emerge to fail, as well as a direct compile from source. If anyone know a fix please post it.
The issue is with firstly $TEXMFMAIN isn't configured appropriately by default, so manually adding /usr/local/tetex/share/texmf gets it working. Also it now complains about not finding fmtutil.cnf, so i've also tried setting some more environment variables only to arrive to more failure.
I should also note that the libwww is broken during the ./configure stage. It checks for mysql support or something. _________________ Jabber: goalieca[AT]jabber.fr

As much as I like portage and gentoo, but if you want to install tetex on Mac OS X, nothing beats Gerben Wierda's i-installer (http://www.rna.nl/ii.html) for convenience and logical setup. Have you tried that? |
