Creating graphical LDAP live CD

Hello,
I am trying to create a live CD that has basic utilities and software for writing papers and browsing the internet/e-mail. I want the user to be able to login to the system and be checked against an LDAP server. If the login was done through kdm or graphical login, it would be easiest for the target user. Also, is it possible to make it so that if the CD is put into a system with an ATI/nVidia card that the proper 3D driver is loaded? Also how would I set the CD up so that when the user is authenticated, their network samba share is auto mounted in KDE?

If anyone has any ideas, tips, tricks, or how-to information I would be a very happy man.
