Xfree-drm + 2.6.x + Radeon 7000 + Xorg + TV-Out = PROBLEMS!!

What the fsck?!?!? Why can't I have good support for this card in linux??? I want to use the 2.6.x kernel with TV-out but this seems impossible without the VESA framebuffer video driver?!?! Can anyone say this is possible?

I just want to have a fast video driver w/ glx/dri and TV out working but this seems impossible!

1) There is NO hardware driver for the ATI Radeon 7000/VE (rv100) directly from ATI.
2) The 2.6.x kernel Radeon driver does NOT support glx/dri and is VERY SLOW
3) Xfree-drm does NOT work in 2.6.x kernels
4) TV-out does NOT work without the VESA framebuffer driver ???

What can I do??!?!?!
