|
|
Hi,
I have a Sound Blaster 128 PCI soundcard, using ALSA in kernel 2.6.8.
I'm using the ALSA module snd_ens1371.
While listening to music, or playing sounds in general, I hear strange noises, like little beeps.
I tried playing with the mixer (alsamixer) but I had no luck.
I also bought new speakers (I thought they were bad), but I still have this problem.
Thanks in advance. |

On my old pc I also had a soundblaster card, I don't remember wich one.
It used the same module, and the sound was bad in alsa.
When I used oss, I didn't have any problems |

Hi. Effectively, I was running athcool. I stopped it, and tried playing some music, and magic! The disgusting noise was gone.
Thanks a lot for your help
I didn't even think that athcool could be causing this. That was a very good observation from your part
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
elkrammer. |
