I have two machines... one fast one slow. Mine is the slow one. However for large chunks of time I have full acess to the fast one. The problem is that the fast one is a win box. So, here's what i'm thinking... Is it possible to use the distccKnoppix suggested here: (https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=161280&highlight=distcc) and a crossover cable to do the majority of the computation on the quickbox saving the slow box the time and load? (I am without router though...) _________________ I've got Gmail invites. Please, Give me a PM if you want one. And a story. Just to throw in some fun. |

Yes.
Without specific problems I can't be more help. But you should be able to setup a TCP/IP network over the crossover cable, then use distcc without any special configuration. |
