Is there an window manager with a sound countroller like the one in KDE, GNOME or Windows? You know the think in the bottom left corner of a standard windows installation? I only want one bar and I want it to fill up the least amount of screen space as possible (gnome lets me do this, but is so slow).
I want a light window manager with a volume controller on it (built into the task bar). I tried XFCE4 but it only lets you control the master ( i want to control the PCM). Gnome lets me but it is so slow otherwise (even the run dialog is slow with gnome, as i think it tries to finish my typing for me... which of course I don't want...)
Thanks for any ideas. |

You could emerge gkrellm and put it in the slit. And then emerge gkrellm-volume, and go in to the gkrell config (right-click on gkrellm). Choose plugins and enable gkrellm-volume, you can now choose to place either master, pcm or both.
Try it out anyway and see what you think. _________________ AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+ AM2
