i know it's usually if the kernel image filename is wrong, but it is right nad i'm still getting it... ideas? |

update: no longer get the error, but now i just get a blank screen and my keyboard lights blink after i select teh linux kernel from grub |

This means kernel panic.
I would need to know more about your hardware, and how your kernel is compiled to help with this problem. |

i took out the vga call in the grub.conf file and it works fine now. |

This error has been solved in the grub error collection thread. Additionally, there are many threads around if you search the forums solving this issue. |
