i'm having a problem where if i boot my machine i can't get an address, but if unplugged eth0 and plug it into my switch and "dhcpcd eth0" its gets an address fine from the dhcpd dameon running on eth1 for the local lan.
then if i dhcpcd -k and plug it back into my cable modem and issue dhcpcd eth0 it gets an address fine from my isp.

do you have your /etc/conf.d/net set up properly? Is net.eth0 in your default runlevel? ( rc-update add net.eth0 default ) _________________ "The future masters of technology will have to be lighthearted and intelligent. The machine easily masters the grim and the dumb."
