When using SSH on my server, it's impossible to break or interrupt programs - the shell just does not respond to ctrl-c or z.
Also, "emerge sync" hangs after (e.g.)
"wrote 226 bytes read 541 bytes 306.80 bytes/sec
total size is 32 speedup is 0.04"
Also, I seem to always have to terminate the unresponsive programs with SIGKILL.
Emacs actually sleeps when doing a ctrl-z, though.
Note that everything works fine when logged in directly on the machine.
The ssh server is OpenSSH_3.8.1p1
And there seems to be no NIC problems - no wierd collisions or problems with the network.
I have no real clue where to look right now..any ideas? _________________ When he woke up, the dinosaur was still there. |
