Hi,
on my old system (2.6.7 R12) I could set the pci=noacpi flag without any problems to solve some other problem. Now I set up a new system (R14) and when I try to set the option, it won't start by saying "attempted to kill init". Do I have do configure the kernel in another way?
I know, it was stupid of me not to make a copy of my .config, but I can't help now...

I have a HP Pavilion notebook with Athlon 64.
Thanks, Sandro
