|
|
I have my server up and running. The DNS is working, and Apache works too. The only problem i have encountered was with sub domains. I have put the right entries in the zone file, and vhosts. I have no idea what to do anymore. Suggestions.
Here are my files.
misled-life.com.zone
Code: |
@ 1D IN SOA misled-life.com. bmilleker.accesscomm.ca. (
2004082802 ; serial
1H ; refresh
15M ; retry
1W ; expiry
1D ) ; minimum
;
; NAME SERVERS
IN NS ns1.misled-life.com.
IN NS ns2.misled-life.com.
; MAIL EXCHANGERS
IN MX 10 misled-life.com.
; SUB DOMAINS
IN A 24.72.7.135
ns1 IN A 24.72.7.135
ns2 IN A 24.72.7.135
www IN A 24.72.7.135
ftp IN CNAME www
bmilleker IN CNAME www
da-rock IN CNAME www
|
vhosts.conf Code: |
# MISLED-LIFE.COM CONFIGURATION
NameVirtualHost 24.72.7.135
# MIDLED-LIFE.COM
<VirtualHost 24.72.7.135>
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/htdocs/
ServerName misled-life.com
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost 24.72.7.135>
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/htdocs/
ServerName www.misled-life.com
</VirtualHost>
# BMILLEKER.MISLED-LIFE.COM
<VirtualHost 24.72.7.135>
ServerName bmilleker.misled-life.com
DocumentRoot /home/bmilleker/public_html/
</VirtualHost>
# DA-ROCK.MISLED-LIFE.COM
<VirtualHost 24.72.7.135>
ServerName da-rock.misled-life.com
DocumentRoot /home/askoretz/public_html
</VirtualHost> |
I have also uncommented the "Include vhost.conf....." line in apache2.conf _________________ "The X server has to be the biggest program I've ever seen that doesn't do anything for you."

Well all i did was instead of having my IP address (24.72.7.135), i simply put *. And all is well _________________ "The X server has to be the biggest program I've ever seen that doesn't do anything for you."
