|
|
Hello,
I've recently acquired a very nice multimedia keyboard with many keys for Open, Save, Close, etc.
I've just got these keys working with lineakd. I'd like to set it up so that when I press the "Open" key, Ctrl+O is passed to the program.
Is there a simple/small/fast program that does that? It'd be plus if it were in portage. There should be a program like that is portage.
Much thanks. _________________ http://tommy.impulsestorm.com/ |

I'm not really sure, but doesn't xmodmap do that?
taken straight from "man xmodmap"
Code: |
xmodmap - utility for modifying keymaps and pointer button mappings in X
DESCRIPTION
The xmodmap program is used to edit and display the keyboard modifier
map and keymap table that are used by client applications to convert
event keycodes into keysyms. It is usually run from the user's session
startup script to configure the keyboard according to personal tastes.

No - I mean a program that will do this:
"fictionalprogram CtrlX" will pass Control-X to the active window. _________________ http://tommy.impulsestorm.com/ |
