I am currently running the WAG311 Netgear card. The card works and I'm using it right now, but I am running into a problem.

My university has a wireless network, and has over 10 different access points. I get different signal levels to each access point, so I want to be able to pick one I use. I've tried different things in my conf, but nothing has fixed it to which one I use.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to specify which AP I use by the MAC address?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would recommend wireless-config

You can specify preferred APs... and associate to those. In wireless-config you can have multiple APs listed in your conf. It is a great script.

I hope this helps
