Parallel interface for Notebook?

Hi all..

I bought a notebook which doesn't have a parallel interface, but i'd need one for hardware development. I looked at a few usb-1284-adapters, but most seem to feature only printing support, but what I'd need is full 1284-compliance... Would be great if someone had any hints for me where to get such a device

I know the problem but I'd like to have a serial port on mine but have a parallel one.
