I am getting some video corruption when playing any kind of movies, i.e. random green lines on the bottom of the movie screen. Has anyone got any clues how to resolve this issue?
And is switching to fullscreen mode and back always so slow?
I'm using:
AMD Athlon XP 3200+
512Mb RAM
nForce2 chipset
ATI Radeon 9600 with binary drivers from ATI + DRI enabled.
XFree86 X server
Thanks in advance. _________________ egu out |

Besides getting a nvidia? :-\ *goes back to trying to sell his ati radeon 9800 pro* Seriously though, change back to generic support with DRI and put your radeon on ebay.. |

I have this too, but not with movies.
Actually, while typing this, my text cursor is looking screwed up ie. green pixels moving over/around it.
I also get green/red lines and random pixels on apps and sometimes green/red pixels and other garbage on my wallpaper.
And I still can't enable hardware accelleration on my f*ckin Sapphire 9600XT because whenever I run a 3D app, I get a blank screen o'death....
CURSE ON ATI!!!
- edit:
Because of the BSOD problem I'm now using the 'radeon' driver instead of 'fglrx'. I get the artifacts with both drivers... |
