I've got the lm_sensors running, sensors show:
Code:

# sensors
bmc-ipmi-0000
Adapter: Dummy adapter
in1:      +12.00 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in2:      -11.47 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in3:       +4.92 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in4:       +3.33 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in5:       +3.09 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in6:       +3.40 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in7:       +1.50 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in8:       +4.90 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in9:       +2.54 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
in10:      +1.28 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +0.00 V)
fan1:     11040 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan2:     12480 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan3:     12000 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan4:     11040 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan5:     10080 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan6:     10560 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan7:     5100 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
fan8:     5100 RPM  (min =    0 RPM)
temp1:     +39.0 C  (high =    +0 C, hyst =    +0 C)
temp2:     +41.0 C  (high =    +0 C, hyst =    +0 C)
temp3:     +30.0 C  (high =    +0 C, hyst =    +0 C)
temp4:     +55.0 C  (high =    +0 C, hyst =    +0 C)

And' I've got (the masked) net-snmp-5.1.1-r1 with USE=lm_sensors.

So far, so good. But an snmpwalk -v 1 -c ro localhost host.hrSensor shows nothing - not even an error.

Does this stuff need some additional config?

I've tried on an other box, too - same result.
Not even google helps :(

Is there anybody out there who got this running?

The hr_sensor module tries to load libsensors.so.2, but the current version is libsensors.so.3. Until the ebuild is fixed just symlink one to the other. (I've just done this and it works fine).

I'm now off to search bugzilla.

There's now a fix in portage, just re-emerge the package and remove the symlink workaround. HTH
