|
What are some methods of make xorg (or xfree86) installs have a smaller hard drive footprint but keeing all the freatures (or at least the ones everybody really useses). I know the default of compiling X is to compile all the drivers, how do I tell X just to compile the driver (or drivers) I need? What about using nvidia's binary driver?
I'm trying to build an embedded Linux system on a 128-512MB compact flash and a 32MB DiskOnChip. The DiskOnChip might have to use KDrive, but the compact flash should be large enough to use a full X.
Any tricks, how-to's, or advice would be helpfull.
Thanks in advance,

I remember seeing that in de desktop guide. Something about the VIDEOCARDS="" environment variable. _________________ we are microsoft, lower your firewalls and surrender your pc's. we will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. your culture will adapt and service us. resistance is futile. |
