Bonjour a tous , je me demandai ce que je devais faire pour installer correctement cette carte 3d et par la suite si tout se passe bien pouvoir jouer avec CEDEGA ect ...

emerge ati-drivers (+ emerge ati-drivers-extra? je ne sais plus, je crois que c'est possible si tu veux mais pas necessaire)
xf86config ou xorgconfig (ou xorgcfg).
Et tu suis les instructions...
Il te faut autre chose?

Fait une recherche sur le forum, il y a un HOWTO en anglais pour t'expliquer comment installer ta carte.
Sinon la meilleure idée c'est tout de même de prendre une nvidia .... |

Bon , activé le DRI et ma carte sur le kernel , j'ai fait l'emerge des drivers d'ati et des extra puis j'ai fait #opengl-update ati
mais voila que en executant un jeu j'ai un méchant :
Could not find a compatible OPENGL display resolution. Please check youre driver configuration.
(Error: Couldnt find matching GLX visual).
Oula l'embrouille :S

Je ne sais pas trop d'ou vient ton problème mais déjà il faut choisir, soir tu met les drivers ATI du noyau ou alors tu mets les proprios.
Recompile ton noyau avec le DRI mais il faut que tu enleves les drivers de ta carte ...
Il me semble qu'il faut aussi l'option MTRR (je ne sais plus trop comment elle s'appelle mais c'est dans ce genre la) en module. J'avais aussi mis l'AGP en module...
Je n'avais pas de problème après mais par contre cela restait plus que médiocre niveau 3D... |

Je me sens bien bien perdu :S
D'apres ce que j'ai lu pour une carte 9600 je suis obligé d'utiliser les drivers propio ... bon bah je vais enlever ma carte du kernel , par contre si je met MTRR et AGP en module comment je vais savoir quels modules c'est et comment les executer par la suite avec modprobe ?

Mais je suis suis pas capable d'avoir l'accel 3D...
