Alright, I have a complicated problem here.

Recently, I've bought a thumbdrive, that can act as a bluetooth adapter.

At first, I got the thumbdrive part working, using submount. It will auto mount, and I can easily access it from konqueror.

After I tweaked the kernel to enable bluetooth (I also install gnome-bluetooth and all its dependencies) the thumbdrive stopped working (from kde and submount) but the good news is I got the bluetooth part working.

The funny thing here is, I can't mount or submount it. It says invalid super block or something like that. However, I tried emerging mtools ,and I can mdir to it ???? mtools somehow recognize it while the rest of my linux tools doesn't ........

Here's a part of my dmesg

Quote:

scsi3 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Vendor: Model: Rev: 1.89
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
SCSI device sdb: 256000 512-byte hdwr sectors (131 MB)
sdb: assuming Write Enabled
sdb: assuming drive cache: write through
/dev/scsi/host3/bus0/target0/lun0: p1
Attached scsi removable disk sdb at scsi3, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Attached scsi generic sg1 at scsi3, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0
USB Mass Storage device found at 16
usb 1-2.3.1.2: new full speed USB device using address 17
Bluetooth: Core ver 2.6
NET: Registered protocol family 31
Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized
Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialized
Bluetooth: HCI USB driver ver 2.7
usbcore: registered new driver hci_usb

Here's the error when I tried to mount it

Quote:

SCSI error : <3 0 0 0> return code = 0x10070000
end_request: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 32
FAT: unable to read boot sector
subfs: submountd execution failure. Error 256

Anyone any ideas ? I've run out of ideas of where to check and tweak, :/

P/s my other thumbdrive is working, just a plain usb flash stick, different brand thou.

Can you use it as both at the same time in windows? (if you have it)
Mounting it might lock out the bluetooth and vice-versa

Just a thought..

Thanks for the reply.

Hmmm, well, in Wind0ws, there is an option to enable/disable the bluetooth as by default it is off. I haven't tried using it at the same time.

I've thought about the locking part too, i'm not too familiar with linux's bluetooth tools yet, anyone any tips about how I should proceed ?

This time I disabled bluetooth from my system. Dmesg didn't detect the bluetooth device present, only my usbstick.

Here's my dmesg tail when I try to mount/sub mount it.
Very funny, cause I manage to mdir and mcopy files to it .....

Any ideas guys ?
