Il mio problema è questo: ho patchato con successo il kerne(2.6.8.1)l ed ho attivato il bootsplash.
Ora pero, nel grub.conf è gia specificato un initrd

Come devo cambiare le impostazioni?
Posso eventualmente mettere un ulteriore initrd per il bootsplash?

Non mi pare che lo devi cambiare se non hai cambiato tema del bootsplash.

In effetti un'idea è sovrascrivere l'immagine bootsplash-1024x768.jpg nella cartella /etc/bootsplash/gentoo/images con un'altra senza aggiungere ulteriori initrd.
