Good news for Linux gamers. Will be interesting to see how quickly Cedega can take advantage. |

Fantastic news!!! Sure can't wait to see the new drivers come out - I just hope developers jump on this, and start building Linux-native games! This could indeed be what we've all been waiting for. _________________ "Ni!"

Hmm, I fear that game developers dont develop for linux because of the lack of a good 3d api (opengl 1.3 did the trick all right), but more because they dont know linux (no inhouse experience and prejudice against linux), now that linux on the desktop is gradually replacing mac osx as second desktop when it comes to marketshare I hope that it will make linux more interesting from a $$ perspective, sadly thats what MS made direct3d for (to limit portability) _________________ In "old" Europe we already have a word for "pre-emptive strikes" mr Bush: its called "war" |

"Like pixel shading"? Pixel shaders have been usable for a very long time.
The GL shading language was in 1.5.
Only thing special about 2.0 is that the extensions have ARB_ in front of them. _________________ Think about your breathing.
