sound corruption in beep-media-player after 20 mins

After updating to beep-media-player 0.97-rc2, I had some problems with it. When playing a playlist, the sound will be perfect for about 20-30 minutes and then the sound will start to be corrupted (stutters, slower playing speed). I can usually recover once or twice by simply pausing and then playing again. But this will eventually lead to bmp crashing. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

it is generally known that bmp is still in a very early state. while it's a very promising project, i'd say it's not ready for use yet.
