I'm interested in seeing what laptops people have had great success with getting Gentoo installed on and running smoothly with all the hardware supported. As we move forward in this technology age, it seems that AMD-64 is a good choice for my next laptop. I also have enjoyed using the widescreen much better than traditional displays since it offers so much more real estate. I would like to know what you guys have found to work well with Gentoo 2.6.x and Xorg.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) AMD-64 CPU
2) WXGA display (widescreen)
3) TV-OUT [working correctly, not just a physical port]
Additional features hoped for:
1) Integrated wireless
2) Bluetooth
3) USB 2.0
4) FireWire
5) DVD writer
I have been eying this HP located below for the price and features I have described above. Let me know if this might be a good choice.

I have also heard some good things about eMachines and tested on out, but the main problem was getting the wireless working with the NDIS wrapper. Hopefully something like this can be resolved, but let me know if others have got them working on a nice laptop as described above. I'd imagine MANY people have been searching for a thread like this to decide on their next laptop purchase...
