i am trying to install gentoo but under the install i need to use this character, how do i make it?

Are you using a standard US keyboard? It should be on the same key as the ". Also, the ~ key has something simililar `. On my keyboard the ' key is right next to the enter key.' |

its a danish keyboard, but gentoo is probaly using it whit english settings as default |

I think you can boot the livecd with danish keyboard support.
Just type at the boot prompt after you start your computer.

Restarting in not necessary. Just load the keymap you need with "loadkeys" followed by a name of a keymap (/usr/share/keymaps).
Example:
(Exit chroot to do it and reenter afterwards. |
