I'm having a bit of trouble with MythTV on my workstation. I compiled 0.16 from the ebuild, configured it according to the documentation, populated the database, and started the backend and frontend. However, when I try to watch something recorded or even live tv, I get the following error message:

at this point, MythTV dies. I am able to get video and audio using tvtime with no problems at all. Any ideas on what's wrong? Thanks.
