I want grub to mount and boot from an iso i have my working gentoo install but i have iso's for like gentoo-game-cd and knoppix and other which i dont want to install just be able to select an option from grub and it will mount the iso in a directory and boot from it.

Cheers....Roony

Hi,

I don't think so because grub looks for a system map and kernel and, I think,
iso's go from an autostart script.

i would have just let the bios boot the cd since you would need to reboot anyway but isnt it just an option of setting it to boot off hdc0,0 or some such depending on your hardware

this would work but it need it to mount the iso first to be able to access the kernel :d
