Find as you type is broken. The find toolbar look ok ,, I like it, but IT IS BROKEN. It wont find.
I think this is something with the chrome script. And this is a Linux virsion only problem. The Mac version works just fine.
Here is a screenshot of the error.

Everytime it tries to scroll the word that function fails (get_fastFind )
Please someone if you have a solution do tell. Can't use find is berry baad!

You still can. This is handled by gtk2, you just need to tell gtk2 that you want Emacs bindings.
There is a gconf pref for this if you are using gnome (finding it it left as an exercice to the reader), and if you are not, just adding gtk-key-theme-name = "Emacs" to your .gtkrc-2.0 should work. |

| For some reason I can't use my cursor keys to move a cursor around, when typing in text boxes anymore. Using the cursor keys moves the window around instead. |

Nope, the original post is right. The newest version is 0.10, it's using the same nomenclature as kernel minor versions. |

Help -> About gives me "version 1.0 Preview Release", so that settles it for me at least.

yeah in the about screen it show 1.0 Pre Release but look in the fine print it is called Firefox 0.10.
I will post a screen shot tomorrow.
Truly, both names are correct.

And as for the numbering, .10 is less than .09 indeed mathematically, but Mozilla seems to be following kernel.org's minor numbering system.
For example 2.4.10 is greater than 2.4.09. Don't think about the period as a decimal point, as most of the world uses other symbols for that, such as the comma. Think about it as Firefox zero, 10.

I understand quite clearly the concept of major and minor releases. Thus, Firefox 0.9.3 (the previous version) is major release zero, minor release 9, maintenance release 3. They have used this convention at least since 0.4, when it was called Phoenix, which is when I began using it. If they are calling it 0.1 PR internally, then they have changed their convention. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it seriously makes no sense to go from 0.9 to 0.1. I think it's a typo.
(In your previous example, you say 2.4.10 > 2.6.09 -- this is quite true, but you'll notice there is still a numerical increase. Not so with 0.9 -> 0.1!)
That having been said, this has to be the most pointless issue ever

Please type 'uname -r' in a console. You'll get something like '2.6.8' (considering you're on 2.6), not '2.6.08'! And in a few weeks, you'll get '2.6.10'. Version numbers aren't real numbers...

The find would be really cool if it worked It will highlight words, but go to next, previous doesn't. Also in any text box, the arrow keys and home and end don't work! This is really, really annoying!
If there's any resolution to either of these problems, please let me know.

This is a known problem, in your ~/.mozilla/firefox/default** directory, remove compreg.dat
