Hi,
I have a Pocketek portable hard disk drive and a GoVideo PVP-4040. Both claim to support USB 2.0 mass storage mode. Both work with Knoppix in USB 1.1 mode. Both fail with Gentoo in USB 2.0 mode.

hook up PVP-4040 and get Code: | Sep 14 23:58:58 pan usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using address 2
Sep 14 23:58:59 pan usb 1-5: device not accepting address 2, error -71
Sep 14 23:58:59 pan usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using address 3
Sep 14 23:58:59 pan usb 1-5: device not accepting address 3, error -71 | /proc/bus/usb/devices does not change contents. "71" = EPROTO.
Can anyone suggest something to try? |

This is just a shot in the dark, but if I were you I'd compile the USB host controller drivers (UHCI, EHCI) as modules. _________________ "The song I've written for you is so schmultzy it'll make 'Moon River' sound like a farting orangutan." - Homer Simpson |
