Could someone please help me with the following error and hint me in the right direction.
lsmod shows nvidia is loaded and I recieve:
Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!
*** Aborting ***
Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration

Maybe you installed a new kernel and forgot to recompile the nvidia-kernel modules? |

Thanks, that solved some of it.
I can now run with the nvidia driver but frankly it looks like the amount of colors available is not that super and the screen colors dont behave as expected. E.g. when opening a 'links -driver x' all colors change into purple.
Aside that, I still dont seem to run correctly since glxinfo states:
Couldn't find RGB GLX visual
Any help ? Thanks ! |

That part I did, and did not result in a working GLX. It seems something is quite messed here and I cant use IRC support at the moment. |
