As quickrip begins to scan table of contents, it begins to play the movie in Mplayer. What's going on? _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

Did you ever figure this one out? I once had Quickrip working just fine but have had the same problem your report for months. It has defied all my efforts to fix it. |

Nope, I finally gave up, as the quickrip project has seemingly been abandonded. _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

Umm, nothing really. I know it worked well, and I'm still keeping my eye out for a good DVD ripper that works. _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

The problems are due to with the latest version of mplayer/transcode, the command line syntax has changed.
I have made changes in the dvd.py code to fix this problem, I have now got pass 1, pass 2 and pass 3 working correctly with the latest version of gentoo
if you require this copy of the dvd.py please email me and i will send a copy to you

Aieee! I spoke too soon. It did the scan just fine, so I thought my troubles were over. Unfortunately, when I hit "Rip DVD" and then "Start" in the "Ripping Progress" popup, nothing happens.
Here's the error message:
* Finished scanning
* Starting ripping
* Ripping track '01' (1 of 5) at 650kbps
