what USE flags does xorg require to be run poperly?

i think you´re talking bout "xprint". Without that you´ll be missing some libraries.

No, it was the case that you needed to add xprint with the first version of the ebuild however that has since been fixed and it is now activated by default.

Theoretically all programs should work with any USE combination of flags. Changing the USE flags should only change the functionality of the program, although occasionally there are bugs where a certain flag is required.

I add "xprint xinput composite" to USE and have no problem.

you need bitmap-fonts also. if you watch your emerge youll get a nice bigass warning about it. it makes everything look much better too. since i compiled it the first time without it :)
