I think laptops and hardware should be split into a cat for laptops and one for hardware, cause you get questions about getting pcmcia and trackpads working and then someone asking what combo of dual processors and dual monitor setups work best.
Just my $0.02

We actually discussed this before the forum reorganization. If I recall, we decided that there weren't enough laptop specific questions to warrant its own forum.
Has anyone noticed an increased number of laptop related questions in H&L?
EDIT: A quick search for "laptop AND pcmcia" in the H&L forum only turns up 73 results (about 48 threads). _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

I just thought it might be a good idea, but if only a few people are posting in it...
but the ppc forum isn't visited that often, and I think a pure hardware section would be nice, then people wouldn't get confused and think that the one section is only about laptop hardware...
I am rambling I think.
But I still think making them two different sections is a good idea, but since I am not nitro I assume it will stay how it is.
ps, kanuslupus, what do you do for a job? Just curious. |
