|
|
All,
Tried to emerge/update neverball. Latest and greatest ebuild is neverball-1.4.0. However, the digest of the downloaded file does not match that of the digest stored on the PC from the latest emerge rsync. This is what I get:
!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 2ea124706cf290027b44fc23f48f3096
>>> your file's digest: a6cd860f1c2b7d8cecbcfc05ff228ef0
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz
I've tried a few times and get the same error with the same digest on the download, so, I'm assuming the stored digest is wrong and needs to be updated. I filed a bug report on Bugzilla; its #64328.

All the mirrors have a corrupted neverball source file I just realized. Download the source from the website and move it into /usr/portage/distfiles. _________________ Ubuntu Linux Dapper Drake running Gnome-2.14.1

from the neverball homepage:
Quote: | Yes, two different 1.4.0 packages were uploaded on September 15 and 16. There was a trivial mistake that I didn't feel warranted a patch number bump. However, I realize now that many people check MD5 sums and noted the swap. Sorry! |
Thats the reason why...
Neither runing with --digest or download from the site seems to work.
Looks like we will have to wait for som sort of a fix. |

i just did an emerge sync followed by emerge neverball, and i get this
Code: | >>> emerge (1 of 1) games-puzzle/neverball-1.4.0 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/neverball-1.4.0/work
gzip: stdin: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
!!! ERROR: games-puzzle/neverball-1.4.0 failed.
!!! Function unpack, Line 329, Exitcode 2
!!! failure unpacking neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz
|
it happened before i emerge-sync'd as well. _________________ I am SPAM, hear me roar.

i got that too.
I got it to work by downloading from the neverball site, then emerge --digest neverball |

somethings bad. did you regenerate the digest? you could try redownloading
rm /usr/portage/distfiles/neverball*
other than that i dont know what to tell you |

The distributed file is neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz corrupted.
I've downloaded the file manually and installed it with emerge.
Code: |
1. Manual download neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz from http://icculus.org/neverball/
2. mv neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz /usr/portage/distfiles
3. emerge --digest neverball
