Hi!
I have installed the latest gentoo from a LiveCD (stage1) onto my Acer Travelmate 530 Laptop.
The trouble I am having is when it boots it says something rather quick on the top of the screen, then the screen goes black.
I hit enter, and the kernel loads however the screen goes all funny .. funny in the sense that the writting is all fuzzy and streaks go down the screen.
once some processes start further down, I think init processes then the screen goes back to normal.
I am rather new to gentoo, having installed slackware many times without such a problem.
I would appreciate any help you are willing to give, or perhaps even give me a link on the forum where I can read up on it myself?
Thanks.
