Hi all,
I've just build gento-dev-sources 2.6.8-r4 with fbsplash support following the tutorial at wiki. However after I start the kernel, it shows the progress bar and stops. Completely stopped I can do nothing but shutdown the PC.
I think it's something wrong in grub config:

try starting with "splash=verbose,theme:emergence" and take "verbose=silent" outand see what happens
a bit off topic, but you can most likely take the hdc=ide-scsi out, 2.6 kernels dont require scsi emulation for cd burning anymore  |
